Urgent Relief in Congo

Since early 2025, a resurgence in violence between Congolese security forces and militant groups has resulted in a critical humanitarian crisis in the Eastern part of DRC, killing thousands and displacing thousands more. The last three years of crisis in this region have now been compounded, leaving one million Congolese seeking refuge outside of their country, seven million internally displaced, and twenty-one million people in need of urgent medical, food, and other aid.
Conditions for displaced people in the DRC worsen on a daily basis, as attacks on refugee camps increase, resources run dry, and many find themselves unable to meet their most basic and urgent needs without humanitarian assistance. Food chains have been disrupted, banks closed, and the insecurity is ongoing and taking a severe emotional toll. To help address these needs, Multiply is working in an inter-agency collaboration with MCC, the resource distributor on the ground.
