Church Planting in Myanmar

start a fundraising campaign Send a Note

Would you help bring the hope of the Gospel to Myanmar?

Pandemic, civil war, floods and a relentless economic crisis have impacted millions in Myanmar. Millions have lost their farms or other sources of income. Into this darkness, the light of the Gospel is shining brightly with hope.

God has raised up a team of church planters, evangelists and interns to reach the Myanmar people, with national leaders equipped to return to their villages and share the Good News. These leaders are being trained not only in evangelism, Bible teaching and church planting, but also in new farming techniques that will equip them to help their impoverished countrymen to meet their own practical needs and provide urgently needed food relief. Despite tumultuous upheaval in this country, believers are rising to the challenge of taking on new leadership roles, and the church planting movement in Myanmar has grown in strength and courage, with teams going out regularly into dangerous, high conflict zones to bring the Gospel to those whose very survival is uncertain.

Since 2017, Multiply has been investing in reaching Myanmar people groups. During that time, hundreds of Myanmar Buddhists have come to faith in Jesus, more than forty leaders have been trained, twenty new churches planted, and two Kingdom Businesses launched. The ministry initiatives of this team include summer and Christmas outreach events, numerous training centers in Myanmar and hubs of growing church plants. This project is under the oversight of Multiply’s Louise Sinclair-Peters, Regional Team Leader for Myanmar and Central Thailand, and her husband Dave who serves as Church Planting Coach for global workers throughout Southeast Asia.

Your donations to this project will help to train up new leaders to plant churches in Myanmar and to resource these churches to bring the Gospel in both word and in action to those in need.
