Isaan Church Planting
Bordered by the Mekong River to the north and east and by Cambodia to the southeast, Isaan is Thailand’s largest region. Comprised of twenty provinces in the northeast of Thailand, this part of Thailand has the least percentage of Christians in the whole country. While the region is strongly Buddhist, the Nong Khai province is also the center of worship of the Great Serpent. Team Isaan is currently working in two provinces, Nong Khai and Kalasin, to start churches in communities that currently do not have any. They are also focused on leadership development through training church leaders in a non-formal training program. This project supports evangelism, discipleship and leadership training in the region.
