East German Church Planting

start a fundraising campaign Send a Note

Will you help bring the Gospel to the least reached in Germany?

Europe is known to be a predominantly post-Christian culture, and churches are being challenged to find new strategies for effective evangelism and church planting. Multiply partners with networks of churches in Europe to see this region transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of our key national partners is André Pritzkau, previously serving in Berlin and now launching a new church plant in Potsdam, East Germany. Potsdam, a city of 183,000 people, is the capital of the Brandenburg region and is known as a very beautiful and green city, but it is also a city where 80% of the people do not attend any church.

André and his wife Olga have served for over twenty years as church planters and pastors of the Berlin-Johannisthal church, under the MB conference of Germany (AMBD). With his MA in Urban Ministries, Andre has had a role of coaching the MB churches of Eastern Germany in missional outreach and church planting. This coaching has been instrumental in team building, vision clarification, and strategic church planting initiatives in places such as Magdeburg, Leipzig and Neukoelln, as it has been with the church in Dortmund. The Potsdam church plant is part of the fruit of that work.

André works in partnership with Multiply’s Johann Matthies, Regional Team Leader for Europe and Central Asia. Together, they inspire and equip others for mission in Germany and beyond, working tirelessly to create strategies that will multiply church planting movements among the least reached.

Donations toward this project will support this ministry, equipping churches in Eastern Europe to reach their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
