The Lighthouse Team is working to see hundreds of least-reached Buddhist people groups in Southeast Asia reached with the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ. This team is comprised of Multiply global workers, national evangelists, and local church planters, all working together to reach the people of Myanmar and the multitude of Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand. 

For more than ten years, Multiply has been investing in reaching Myanmar people groups, through training up local evangelists, developing effective church-planting teams, and helping resource bi-vocational pastors through the development of small, self-sustainable businesses. During that time, hundreds of Myanmar Buddhists have come to faith in Jesus (with over three hundred baptisms in 2019-2020 alone), forty leaders have been trained, twenty new churches planted, and two Kingdom Businesses launched. The ministry initiatives of this team include summer and Christmas outreach events, numerous training centers in Myanmar and hubs of growing church plants.

Since the military coupe of February 2021, the need for ministry in Myanmar has intensified. Myanmar church leaders serving among migrant workers in Thailand are mobilizing their communities to bring humanitarian aid to those in desperate need, and the Gospel to those who are losing hope.
