Migrants Hope

start a fundraising campaign
Project Goal: $61,700
$12,367 Needed

Will you help bring the hope of the Gospel to migrant people groups in East Asia?

Cities throughout Asia are swelling with the urban poor who work at subsistence jobs and experience family pressures within the traumatic loss of community identity. There are over 300 million migrants living in the major cities of East Asia, the majority of whom live in the slums areas and trash recycling zones on the outskirts of a major city. Migrants Hope exists to evangelize and make disciples among the marginalized migrant populace of East Asia, training missional leaders to reach their own impoverished communities for Jesus. For over a decade, this ministry has been planting churches in urban slum communities, as well as training up teams to reach East Asian diaspora in other regions of the world, such as the city of Bangkok, Thailand.

Donations toward this project supporting holistic training for church leaders, which includes spiritual nurture, understanding vocation and practical ministry experience. These leaders will in turn bring the Gospel to migrant workers from the Asian countryside, help to meet their social and educational needs and plant churches in their communities. Expenses include the development of training programs for church-planting pastors, assisting with tuition, supplying training resources, covering travel costs for both teachers and staff, providing housing and accommodation during the training period, and mobilizing missional teams.

Total funding needs per annum: $45,200 USD | $61,700 CAD
