Maxym & Anya Oliferovski

start a fundraising campaign Send a Note

This couple provides leadership to Multiply in Ukraine, serving in holistic gospel initiatives that seek to bring the image of God into communities that are experiencing the trauma of war, displacement, grief and poverty. They are the co-founders and directors of New Hope Center, a non-profit organization that ministers to youth  and  families in crisis in Zaporizhzhia, the historic birthplace of the Mennonite Brethren movement.

At New Hope, the Oliferovskis have been providing vocational training to aged-out orphans and other youth-at-risk who are highly vulnerable to sexual exploitation, homelessness, and substance abuse.  Since the beginning of the war with Russia, they have been ministering to children, teenagers, adults and the elderly—all experiencing the effects of high stress and sleep deprivation—by providing them with both pastoral care and professional counseling. Their Ukraine Summer Camp ministries are also bringing transformation to families in crisis, by offering them respite from the relentless attacks, in the relative safety of the western Carpathian Mountains.

Maxym and Anya also coordinate relief efforts with staff and volunteers delivering food kits, responding to the requests from municipal social services for emergency relief for the poor. God’s Family Church, which has emerged from the New Hope ministries, is also instrumental in this ministry.

“Our whole nation is in crisis," says Max. “Can we still care for others, when we ourselves are in such need? With your help, yes.”
