There are close to 25 million in North Africa who have not heard the Gospel in their own language. Would you help us to help us change that statistic?
Russ and Marjorie are involved in evangelism, leadership development, and church planting using media, music, and the creative arts. They are based in France, with a ministry impact that is global and primarily focused upon North Africa. In that region, severe restrictions of religious and political governing bodies result in oppressed people groups having very limited access to communications of the Gospel that might come via the internet, social media platforms, and public television. Russ and Marjorie envision seeing millions of seekers in North Africa reached with the Good News in their own language, through the broadcasting of powerful stories of transformation of new believers from their own people groups. This is being done through StoryChannel. storychannel.org and storychannel.tv
The StoryChannel team produces quality media content that communicates the testimonies of Berber-speaking new believers from eight different countries. These videos are then broadcast on 24-hour satellite TV which is immune to government restrictions. This broadcast station has been up and running only since early 2022, but already traffic to the various StoryChannel websites continues to increase and the number of unique visits is close to 10,000 monthly, with direct contacts (mobile phone, WhatsApp, etc.) totaling almost 1000 per month. As viewers actively engage through social media and phone calls, the StoryChannel team ensures that well-trained leaders follow up with them for discipleship, to connect them with local churches wherever possible, and to help launch new church plants in their regions.
