Hosting camps in Ukraine has been complicated and dangerous during the war. Going forward it is anticipated that these camps will be even more crucial for children and families dealing with the trauma of separation, displacement, death and grief. Camps may continue to be dramatically restricted, with a need to relocate to the relative safety of the western regions, and potentially held more frequently outside of the normal three-camp summer season.
Reaching youth and families through camps is a key strategy for kingdom growth in Ukraine. Pandemic restrictions and war have increased isolation and anxiety, and retreats like this are more important than ever.
