Translation Project in DR Congo

start a fundraising campaign
DR Congo is a vast country stretching from the centre of the continent of Africa, to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Though the country has many professing Christians, understanding of the mission of God through the Church is low.
This project will fund the translation of a significant textbook resource that will serve to broaden that understanding and provide a common Anabaptist/MB missiological base for the Congolese MB Church. The text, The Church in Mission: Perspectives Of Global Mennonite Brethren On Mission In The 21st Century by Victor Wiens, is a well-known, credible resource endorsed by the International Community of Mennonite Brethren (ICOMB) and used globally in formal and non-formal training settings, for missionaries, mission leaders, pastors and workers in training, especially at university levels.

Funding for this project will go towards the translation of this resource by pastor Jean Baptiste Mbongo, in collaboration with Multiply’s national partner in this region, Dr. Nzuzi Mukawa, who provides leadership for missional initiatives throughout Sub-Saharan Africa (Angola, Burkina Faso, Burundi, DR Congo and Malawi).
