Outreach to Myanmar Migrant Worker's Children

start a fundraising campaign
This project supports the efforts of the Bang Chalong church in northern Thailand to reach out to the children of Myanmar migrant workers.

The church started a school project especially for children in the community who are unable to get an education in the Thai system. The children are being taught to read and write in Myanmar, English, and some Thai, which also provides an opportunity to share the Gospel with them and their families.

The funds of this project are going toward supporting two teachers and subsidizing the tuition fees for students. The vision of this ministry is two-fold: 1) educating children, and 2) training new leaders. The school is growing fast and thriving in the community. All forty-two of the children currently enrolled in the school have embraced Jesus as their Saviour and many of their parents have done the same. As the school meets a felt need within the community, local families are happy to contribute to the expenses, and so the vision of a self-sustaining project is clearly in view.
