King's Kid Poultry Project
Would you help transform the lives of disadvantaged students in Uganda?
King's Kid Farm produces food for King's Kid School, where underprivileged children are being given a quality education, equipped in their Kingdom identity and purpose, and discipled through LifeHouse Church in Mityana.
While all food grown on the farm is used to meet the needs of students and those in the church community, a business branch is needed in order to operate without external funding and increase production capacity for the school. The Poultry Project aims to further the goal of allowing the farm to become self-sustainable by increasing its food production and, ultimately, generating a source of income for the school.
The goal of this project is to raise 4000 hens for egg-laying. Once running, this will provide daily income that will not only sustain itself, but also provide money to cover farm expenses, and expand capacity to increase yield. This will be a prototype for a potential larger operation in the future. This project will include a feed store room and two buildings to house the birds. After two years, it is anticipated that egg production will allow the project to be able to maintain itself and feed back into the operation of the farm.
