Brazil Children's Discipleship Project

Will you help reach and disciple vulnerable children in northern Brazil?

Economic instability, political corruption and increasingly secular values threaten the most vulnerable in Brazil: children. Even many of the evangelical churches have found it challenging to prioritize care for the young in their local communities, and this has impacted both the credibility of their witness and the success of church planting ventures. The MB mission agency of Brazil is seeking to address this, and to create strategic ways in which a focus on children can actually revitalize church growth and church planting initiatives in northern Brazil.

Multiply’s Regional Team Leader for Latin America, Emerson Cardoso, writes:

“We must truly understand the special place that children have in the Kingdom of God. Firstly, because children are ideally suited to become disciples of Jesus; and secondly, because when we love children, we also love their families. New churches are now being birthed in strategic locations where we are intentionally engaging in the relational discipleship of children, and old churches are being renewed. This is a powerful way to fulfill our mission!”

Donations to this project will help support those from the Brazilian MB conference who are leading this initiative as full-time missionaries, as well as provide for the training of others from various regional churches, particularly those actively involved in church planting.

“For this important task,” Cardoso says, “we must mobilize all Brazilian MB churches to effectively contribute to the discipleship of children in their communities. Children are the future of the church; we must invest in them now, in the present!”
