Asia
“We recently completed our first disciple movement training, bringing together thirty national leaders from five Asian nations: Laos, Thai-Isaan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the Philippines. This gathering was the fulfillment of a dream God placed on my heart almost a year ago, to bring our emerging MB church conferences and leaders together—especially those who had not yet been trained in simple church planting. Our dream was not only to teach Discovery Bible Study (DBS) in a classroom but to bring our trainees into the harvest to witness the Holy Spirit working through brand-new Isaan believers, some only two months in the faith, who are already leading their families and villages to Christ. As our team visited nine simple house churches in the Phon Phi Sai region, leaders watched ordinary believers confidently lead Scripture discussions and prayer. One national leader from the Philippines reflected, ‘I see now that true leadership means empowering others. DBS will help me raise up new leaders so the church can multiply.’”

Discipleship of Myanmar People: The fruitfulness of a three-month discipleship school in Yangon and a vision to start home churches has resulted in an expanding church-planting movement among our Myanmar MB brothers and sisters. The civil war in Myanmar continues to cause hardship and grief, but by God’s grace our team has started eleven house churches in Yangon.
New Trauma Healing & Discipleship Training: This past year all of our discipleship students experienced firsthand how to bring God’s healing to new believers carrying hurts and trauma from their past.
