Teaching English in Thailand

Would you help open a door for the Gospel to reach the community of Luang Neua, Thailand?

Multiply supports Naomi House, a discipleship and vocational center for women in the Chiang Mai district of Luang Neua, Doi Saket. As part of the growth efforts of this ministry, the Chiang Mai team has been building relationship with a local Buddhist elementary school during the Christmas seasons, delivering gifts for the over 200 students. School directors have appreciated these blessings but have not been open to us hosting a children’s Bible club on school property. However, they are open to having a Christian English teacher come to resource staff and teach students. Our Chiang Mai team is looking to fill this position with a volunteer who will serve as a vital liaison with school staff and families in this community, under the oversight of key national partner Siriwan Trakunhan. This person will also support Naomi House in hosting a weekly Bible club for interns and students, as well as working with our national Thai partners in ongoing and new evangelistic and discipleship initiatives.

This position involves a minimum nine-month commitment and you will serve six months in Thailand, from November through April. Applicants are asked to first complete FOCUS Internship training to ensure cross-cultural understanding and to build a community of support around them that will help them to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Preference will be given to those with a TESOL certificate and/or a degree in education and/or experience in teaching children. We are looking for someone with social skills who will confidently engage others and who is motivated to embrace a new language and culture. Participants will be responsible for raising their own support for this ministry assignment.
