Lithuania Children’s Ministry

start a fundraising campaign Send a Note
Lithuanian Church camp is a place where young lives are impacted and transformed by the Gospel. COVID-19 has created significant challenges for this ministry, but the added strain that families are experiencing because of social disruption, isolation and global economic instability has made the need for this camp ministry even greater. Pandemic restrictions make summer camps a challenge, but with God, all things are possible.

Although the forested campsite in Berciunai cannot be used this year, alternative camps have been organized at Ginkunai Manor, where the local church is also housed. Two camps are planned, each one lasting six days and accommodating forty campers. The camps, called “Heartbeat of the Most Important Things”, aim to reach children from the neighbourhood and surrounding rural areas. The program will include discussions on spiritual values, teaching healthy lifestyle, exploring scenic areas nearby, playing, exercising and enjoying the beautiful Lithuanian summer. In order to stay within COVID-19 restrictions, meals will be served at a nearby restaurant.

The budget for both these camps is 6200 Euros, with half of that cost being subsidized through government funding. The remaining costs may be beyond reach of local families, and so there is need for additional financial support. The total fund-raising goal for this project is approximately $4,500 CAD.

$140 CAD will allow one child to attend summer camp, and have their lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
