Urgent Relief

Will you help the people of Ukraine, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines?

Multiply’s Urgent Relief Fund was created to allow us to respond to needs like these quickly, when they arise.  Would you help Multiply respond to urgent relief requests like this with a gift to our urgent relief fund?

Extreme Cold in Ukraine: Funds have been requested to supply coal, firewood, generators, ovens, and other essentials to help the people of Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Zaporizhzhia survive the winter.

Recent attacks on the city of Kyiv in Ukraine have left more than a thousand apartment buildings without power. In many of them, radiators have burst—water floods the rooms, then quickly freezes into ice. In the cities of Vinnytsia and Zaporizhzhia, it is the same. Schools are closed, children study by candlelight, and families struggle to warm themselves and their meals, while war continues to ravage their homeland.

Floods Sri Lanka: Funds have been requested to supply dry rations, drinking water, water boiling equipment, and other essentials to those displaced by a cyclone and widespread flooding.

Recent devastating floods have caused landslides that completely destroyed many villages. Over 400 have died, more are missing, and many are displaced and currently living in refugee shelters. Homes and vital services have been swept away, with at least two million people affected. Relief supplies will be distributed through a network of local churches connected to our national partner in South Asia.

Typhoons in the Philippines: Funds have been requested to provide essential supplies into areas affected by recent typhoons, where the government has declared a state of national calamity.

Two consecutive typhoons have wreaked devastation across almost the entire Philippine archipelago, with serious damage to houses, infrastructure, and essential crops. Although communication is difficult in the areas most affected, reports show hundreds dead and more injured. Relief supplies will be distributed through a network of local churches connected to our national partner on the ground, Sam Arcano.
