TREK is about engaging Jesus’ Kingdom life with God, self, others and creation.

WHAT IS TREK

Trek is a gap year program for students between the ages of 17 and 22. This is for those students who are ready for the next step in discipleship through the local and global church. This program runs over a regular school year; September through April.

SEMESTER 1:
NORTH AMERICA

Block #1:
10 days of orientation and adventure together

Block #2 & 3:
6 weeks of serving and growing in small groups at two
different North American locations.

SEMESTER 2:
INTERNATIONAL ASSIGNMENT

Block #1: 1-week orientation to your international assignment.

Block #2: For 5 months each Trek team will join one of our church planting teams where they could be involved with advocacy, reconciliation, outreach evangelism, and any variety of holistic practices.

Block #3: 1-week debrief/orientation to life beyond Trek.

SCHEDULE

SEMESTER 1:

September - December
Training, Adventure and Service to take place across North America

SEMESTER 2:

January to mid April
Spend time in experiencial learning and ministry alongside local church plants. The final week will be debrief.

Throughout the year you will have different training modules in each location. Here are a few of the topics that will be covered:
  • Church Planting and Missions
  • Cross-Cultural Awareness
  • Ministry among marginalized peoples
  • Discerning the voice of God
  • Disciple-making movements
  • Spiritual Authority

ADVENTURE

ADVENTURE TEAM BUILDING

Trek begins with an outdoor team adventure.

EXPLORE

Expore God's creation and your role within it.

ENCOUNTER A NEW CULTURE

Eat new food, learn a new language and encounter local history and culture.

PROGRAM COSTS: 

The Program costs $12,000/person All funds can be fundraised and are fully tax receiptable. Please don't let funds be the reason you don't apply. There are scholarships available (Contact us)

Participants agree to fundraise for Multiply to cover mission expenses. If you have questions or concerns about the fundraising please contact us.

TREK expenses include flights to and from assignments and in program expenses. Personal costs such as transportation to training and home, passport, vaccinations, travel health insurance and personal toiletries are not covered.
