Portugal
Portugal is a very religious country, steeped in Catholicism. People are also very materialistic, and like many European countries, the new generations are becoming increasingly post-Christian and more secularized. This has led to many challenges in the proclamation of the Gospel. Our Portugal Team has seen churches shrink in size over the past four years, due in part to the economic crisis, which has forced many people to move to different countries to find jobs. The team’s goal is to build a strong and multiplying conference of churches, led by local leadership. The vision is to nurture the spiritual growth of the believers and to see the next generation of leaders trained and equipped for ministry. The hope is that we will see more churches planted, and more people freed from secularism and empty religion. We want people to find their hope in Jesus! We invite you to join our team in Portugal by praying, giving to further the ministry, and/or serving with us. As we work together, Portugal will know Jesus. Could this be your team?
