Philippines
The people of this island nation in Southeast Asia are predominantly Catholic, but for many it is an empty religion. There is, however, a growing renewal movement and many people are finding hope and transformation in the Gospel. Churches are being planted among the rural poor, and national leaders are being trained and equipped for ministry. Our team in the Philippines is working alongside a small family of local churches by sending short-term teams to support their work of evangelism and church planting. We are praying for more Filipino church planters who will respond to the call of God and devote their lives to multiplying God’s kingdom in this nation. This group of churches struggles to provide proper training facilities for missional leaders and church planters, which has limited the opportunities for training and equipping. There is a vision to establish a training center and develop a curriculum for future Filipino missional leaders and church planters.
