Mexico

With over 120 million people, Mexico is the most populous Spanish-speaking nation in the world. It is a country still shaping its own identity, with ongoing tension between its Meso-american roots and Hispanic history. Turbulent relationships with surrounding nations have also left their mark. This search for identity often finds expression through rigid religious traditions (typically Animist or Catholic). While the Protestant church has experienced steady growth over the past fifty years, anti-Protestant sentiment remains strong in many regions.

As the Mexican Church matures, so too does its vision of being a church on mission—reaching fellow Mexicans, and also going beyond, to the nations. Our Mexico Team is privileged to be part of this story. Beyond the ministries of the Matthew Training Center in Guadalajara, our team is involved in supporting MB conference leadership, planting churches, discipling believers, training leaders, and facilitating retreats that provide renewal for pastors and ministry workers. While the Mexico Team’s base and primary focus is in Guadalajara, through the MB conference they are also connected to churches in Tijuana, Mexico City, and Colima–all joining together in God’s mission to reconcile the world to himself through Jesus.

We invite you to partner with the ministry in Mexico—by praying, giving, or serving alongside this team. Together, we can make Jesus known in Mexico and beyond.

Could this be your team?
