Malawi
Poverty, drought and flooding seem to be constant challenges for the people of Malawi, in addition to the lack in areas such as education, transportation, and leadership development. Our team in Malawi is focused on developing strong disciples and missional leaders in order that the Church of Malawi can weather the storms and grow into maturity. The team’s goal is to build economically sustainable communities of grace, joy and peace that bring God’s hope and healing to others. This ministry, which began in a refugee camp and has now spread outside of the camp, is seeking to meet the holistic needs of people by focusing on the Gospel, real discipleship, material empowerment, and peace. Training in the areas of leadership, discipleship, agriculture, literacy and other areas is making a significant difference in people’s lives inside and outside of the refugee camp.
