Landlocked in the heart of Africa, Burundi is the continent’s second most densely populated country. Two recent civil wars have left the country’s inhabitants as some of the poorest in the world. Ongoing political conflicts reinforce divisions within society that leave certain people groups like the Batwa marginalized. Our Burundi team is passionate about seeing the nation transformed through sharing the Gospel, caring for the poor, developing local leaders, and planting healthy churches. Through a key partnership with a national church-planting network, the Burundi team is involved in evangelistic campaigns as well as a multipronged ministry among the Batwa.
