Yai Boonme prayed to receive Christ in November at the outreach in Sohng Yang. Pastor Naat went to visit and encourage her at her home, praying that salvation would come to her whole household. They met her husband, and had the opportunity to pray for him to receive Christ as his Savior.
Yai Boonme’s husband was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes to the point that he could not walk, or even stand up. They prayed and asked God to allow his blood pressure and blood sugar levels to go down. They prayed for complete healing, that he would not need to take medication, and that he would be able to walk again. Then, because he soon had an appointment at the hospital, they prayed that he would not have to wait a long time in line.
At the hospital, he was so happy that there was no line-up, just as they had prayed! Not only this, but his blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels had all come down. Within days, he was able to begin walking out to the main road to visit friends without feeling tired. His wife and family were full of praise and thanksgiving to God!
We encouraged Yai Boonme, as a new believer, to begin attending church. “Come,” we told her. “We will pick you up. God will bless you.” She asked her husband, who was happy for her to go to church. However, their son, Moo, was suspicious. He was afraid that his mother was being deceived, and that if she went to church, Pastor Naat would trick her into something. So Moo decided to go with his mother and watch out for her.
At church, Naat shared the Gospel with him and talked about how Jesus is God, and how he came to die on the cross to take away our sins. When she gave an invitation to receive Christ, Moo suddenly exclaimed, “I can see Jesus!” My mother was not being deceived. This Jesus is real; he healed my father, and I believe in him!”
Since then, Moo and his mother have become a regular part of our church fellowship. Praise you, God, for saving this household!
