Church planting in the Middle East Apprenticeship

This is a 1-2 year opportunity that has the potential to develop into a long-term assignment. Beginning in July 2020, the candidate will move to the Middle East where they will join a small team of local and expat believers who are seeking to make a difference in this part of the world. You will be trained and sent out to come alongside national believers as they begin small house churches. You will be encouraged to spend time learning language and culture as you invest in the people. 

 

Responsibilities: The candidate will be required to:

  1. disciple and equip local believers who have a heart to see churches planted in their local communities 

  2. act as a liaison to promote prayer and resource connections with churches and individuals in North America 

  3. be present and model what it means to be a member of the body of Christ

 

Qualifications: The candidate should have:

  1. experience in cross-cultural mission and a heart for the Middle East

  2. openness to learning a new language and culture in preparation for long-term ministry

  3. a humble heart ready to serve and gracious spirit ready to give of your time and self

  4. a readiness for persecution and suffering

  5. emotional maturity

 

Finances: Participants will be responsible for raising support for this ministry assignment. 

Additional Notes: The candidate would get a month-long training course in North America among Muslim background believers before going to the Middle East. It is also possible that a mini-team with one or two others could be formed to take on this assignment.
