Support Initiative for German Church Planters

Would you help support and expand church-planting ventures in Germany?

Europe has had a longer, more sustained exposure to Christianity than any other continent, yet an increasingly secular worldview perceives the Gospel as outdated and irrelevant. Despite this, church-planting teams in Germany are encountering many young people with a deep, spiritual hunger for a personal faith experience. 

To address this need, pastors and their families have moved into cities across this country that have very little Gospel witness, planting vibrant churches. Being small, most of these churches are unable to provide extensive financial support, and their pastors are by necessity bi-vocational, working a secular job while serving their churches. Transitioning these leaders to be more fully engaged in their ministry requires funding with part-time or full-time support. Freeing these leaders from the need for secular employment will allow them to devote more time to evangelism, discipleship, preaching, and pastoral care, helping these church plants to grow and thrive.

Donations to this project will go toward resourcing and strengthening the Gospel impact of church plants in their local communities.

Project Goal USD $65,882

• $3530 helps provide support for one pastor for one month

• $1961 covers ministry expansion resources for one church plant for one month

This project is overseen by Johann Matthies, Multiply’s Regional Team Leader for Europe and Central Asia, in partnership with Multiply workers and key church leaders in that region. Donors contributing to this project will be kept informed through reports from the field forwarded by our Donor Engagement Team.
