Malawi Church Roofs
The MB Church in Malawi, birthed in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp, is developing strong disciples and missional leaders that are bringing God’s hope and healing to a people living with systemic poverty. To keep pace with the expansion of these vibrant churches, our national partners are aiming to provide more opportunities for community gatherings that will facilitate discipleship in their local context. Buildings constructed from sunbaked adobe bricks can house these gatherings; however, the prohibitive cost of a roof often means that the walls are left exposed to torrential, seasonal rains which erode the bricks. Roofs are urgently needed for church buildings under construction in Kalankhwinya, Mphanga, and Tendani.
Donations to this project will help cover the materials, labor and transportation costs for the construction of roofs for three church buildings.
This project is overseen by Multiply’s Regional Team Leader for Sub-Saharan Africa, Doug Hiebert, in partnership with key national partners in Malawi. Those giving to this project will be kept informed through timely reports from our Donor Engagement Team.
