African Diaspora Ministry in Canada
As a global family of Mennonite Brethren in North America, we are welcoming more and more African-background people coming into our sphere in Canada, with the majority of new immigrants coming from Ethiopia, Eritrea, DR Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda. This presents a great opportunity to both learn from them, and to encourage and empower them for ministry.
Across the Canadian provinces, African diaspora are already involved in Kingdom expansion, with provincial MB leaders engaged—in various ways, and to varying extents—seeking the best ways in which to partner together. As we seek to steward these emerging relationships well, we are praying for even more fruitful ministry among the African diaspora in Canada.
Donations toward this project will help facilitate a gathering of Congolese pastors, MB conference leaders, and Multiply workers, planned for June of 2026.
