Naomi House - serving women fleeing religious persecution

Naomi House is a community church plant and small business center serving refugee women in Luang Neua, an unreached district of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Strategically situated for outreach, Naomi House ministers through various small business ventures such as a bakery, hair salon, and textiles production, as well as through children's outreach, English classes and relational evangelism. Small groups of believers gather at the house weekly to encourage one another and pray for their community to be reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Naomi House is looking for volunteers to come and serve in a variety of capacities: teaching English, helping with children's clubs and cell groups or with their small business development needs in production, quality control and social media marketing. Skills in any of these areas would be an asset, and applicants should have a High School diploma and be at least 18 years of age. Participants will be responsible for raising their own support for this ministry assignment.

The time commitment is anywhere between two weeks and two years. Because Naomi House is specific to women, male or mixed-gender teams of short-term volunteers will be housed at a nearby hotel and focus primarily on children's ministry and community outreach. Longer-term assignments are gender-specific for women only. All volunteers will be mentored by our national partner Siriwan and be under her supervision, while connecting with our global workers there weekly.
