Support Workers needed for Chiang Mai Church Planting in Thailand

Would you help support those who are planting churches in Chiang Mai, Thailand?

This role supports national church planter/s serving a small cluster of churches in Chiang Mai, where more Resource Workers are needed to help with evangelism and the training and empowering of national workers, and to partner in new and ongoing discipleship initiatives.

The Chiang Mai team in Thailand is looking for support workers who are Spirit-filled, generous and gracious risk-takers, prepared to be flexible and spontaneous in this cross-cultural context. Resource Workers will be expected to embrace the challenges of language and culture learning and be committed to befriend and encourage the national leader/s for a minimum of two terms.

The work can include evangelistic outreach, church planting, English classes, refugee ministries, counselling, and community activities (sports, music, media, crafts, or other skills and hobbies) aimed to foster friendships that will lead to Gospel conversations.

Resource Workers may also be asked to help coach Thai interns at each of the church cluster sites, resourcing them for even more effective leadership. As learners of the language and culture, it may take time and experience before this coaching can take place, but at all stages of the missionary journey there will be many opportunities to work with church planting teams and to love and build up our national leaders as they preach the Gospel and make disciples.

This ministry assignment requires that each person be responsible for raising their own support. Completion of FOCUS Internship training is required of all prospective long-term workers.
