Agriculture Catalyst:
Malawi, Burundi, & Uganda

Would you consider being involved in individual and community transformation through holistic agricultural business ventures that share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in tangible ways? Our vision is to promote the kingdom of God in its fullness, bringing whole-life change through small business ventures that empower nationals.  Locations for these initiatives are near to Lilongwe, Malawi; Mityana, Uganda; Niamey, West Africa; and locations in Burundi.

As a business/development catalyst, you will help facilitate the launch of small business agricultural projects through our Business as Mission program. Your role will be to help empower nationals in these countries through various training seminars, apprenticeship opportunities and intentional discipleship. Your role would be to build relationship with partners involved in agriculture., and to encourage different ways of thinking about farming through Bible study and agricultural best practices. There may also be opportunities for introducing new techniques and crops for higher yields. We value a holistic approach that will address and foster relationship with Jesus Christ, healthy church integration, God-honoring ethics, and integrity in the marketplace.

A degree in agriculture or related subjects such as international development is preferred. International, cross-cultural and/or agriculture experience is highly desired.

The earliest start date for this project would be 2021-09-01. While the ideal commitment would be a long-term assignment of one to eleven months, there is also an option for regular, annual short-term assignment of several weeks to several months per year. This project allows for participation through our Global Servant Internship programs.

Participants will be responsible for raising the full support for their ministry assignment.
