Urgent Relief: Panama

The economy of the Republic Panama has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving ethnic minority communities in particularly grave need. Due to racial discrimination, these groups may be excluded from government social programs, and many have already tested positive for COVID-19 and have serious health concerns. Will you help?

In a region where our global workers have been ministering to the indigenous Wounaan people group and their fledgling churches, families who are completely dependent upon income from their artisanal trades have had that income completely cut off by the cessation of all tourism. In Panama City, sixty-one Wounaan families – numbering approximately 450 persons - are now in urgent, immediate need of ongoing food relief during this season of global crisis.

Donations to this project will allow for the purchase, packaging and personal distribution of food and supplies to each of these families at risk, with volunteers who will share not only these essential physical resources but also the eternal hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
