Resourcing MBCM Malawi

start a fundraising campaign
The Mennonite Brethren Church of Malawi (MBCM) was born in central Malawi under our key national partner Safari Mutabesha. This holistic ministry began in in Dzaleka, a permanent refugee camp in Malawi with over 40,000 asylum seekers from various countries, and quickly spread outside of the camp. Safari and his team are teaching the Word of God and training nationals in leadership skills, discipleship, literacy and the directing of self-sustaining vocational ventures. Safari oversees church planting in this region, and the MBCM has now become a fast-growing network of churches, with trained leaders evangelizing in the area surrounding the refugee camp and beyond, and working hard at providing practically for those impacted by endemic famine, disease and poverty. MBCM is also active in promoting peace and reconciliation events among opposing groups in this region.

Our team in Malawi is planting churches and building economically sustainable communities that bring God’s hope and healing.
