Malawi Continuous Cropping Kits

This project focuses on alleviating hunger and engaging in holistic ministry in Malawi, where the presentation of the Gospel goes hand-in-hand with a tangible demonstration of the love of God.

As global climate change brings longer and more severe droughts in this region, subsistence farmers face the challenge of finding innovative ways to irrigate their crops and stem off famine. Multiply’s Well of Plenty project is facilitating a new agricultural practice to address this issue. This involves simple drip irrigation systems with buckets that require minimal water yet provide sustained irrigation for continuous plant growth and cropping. Malawian nationals in charge of this program are training young people in this procedure now but are in need of more irrigation kits (buckets, hoses, drip irrigators, etc.) to facilitate a more widespread implementation of this life-saving initiative.

Our goal for this project is to supply irrigation kits to more Malawians and help them to provide for their own families. Each pail drip kits costs $300 and will support one family to grow their own produce. Our team in Malawi will distribute each kit and provide training, as well as connecting you, as a donor, to your recipient family or families for ongoing reports and communication. Be sure to submit your email address along with your donation so that we can keep you up to date on how your gifts are changing lives.
