FULLY FUNDED Malawi COVID Prevention

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. It also hosts over 40,000 refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Somalia. They fled the violence of their countries to seek asylum in the Dzaleka refugee camp, where they live without electricity, running water, educational options or adequate healthcare. Now, they are facing the pandemic of COVID-19.
The MB churches in Malawi are actively leaning into this crisis, distributing hygiene prevention equipment in five areas, including the Dzaleka refugee camp, with a priority on reaching the most vulnerable. Besides handing out bars of soap and taped buckets, the teams spend time in prayer, encouraging the people they encounter to put their trust in God. This ongoing project has drawn volunteer participants from varying countries and faiths, as well as schools and surrounding churches.
Funds donated to this project will go toward helping to provide basic necessities for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and bringing the hope of the Gospel.
