MULTIPLY Network is looking to hire a General Director to serve as the most senior officer and principal spiritual leader of this denominational mission organization. The General Director is responsible to the Board for developing the organizational vision and leading strategies to accomplish the vision. The General Director is responsible for the overall executive leadership of all the offices and workers of the organization globally in the fulfillment of its vision, mission and key objectives. The General Director is expected to lead with integrity, wisdom and humility toward the mobilization of churches and individuals into global mission and disciple making. While this role is an appointment by the US Conference of Mennonite Brethren churches and the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches to ministry service, the successful candidate will be selected and appointed to the role by the Multiply Board.


MULTIPLY Network is the mission agency of the MB church in the U.S. and Canada, and our mandate is to help multiply disciples, churches, and missional leaders in countries around the world. We believe that, as the body of Christ comes together, thousands of churches will be planted, and millions of people will encounter Jesus.

Primary Job Functions/Essential Outcomes

  1. Ensures the spiritual health of the organization as a whole, demonstrated by healthy spiritual convictions and practices in line with the MB Confession of Faith
  2. Casts a compelling vision, mission and key objectives
  3. Recognizes and drives the mobilization of churches and people into mission and disciple making to the nations as the primary functions of the organization
  4. Provides collaborative leadership to the Multiply offices in the US and Canada primarily through the deployment of effective leadership structures
  5. Ensures the preparation and implementation of tactical and financial plans in compliance with the strategic plan and with the policies of General Director limitations and expectations
  6. Mobilizes resources, financial and human, through meaningful engagement across race, gender, ability and cultural differences
  7. Ensures healthy relationships are developed and maintained between the Board of Directors and the stakeholders, including all workers, volunteers, partners, church leaders, donors, national partners and regulatory authorities according to the governance model



  • Must be willing to go through credentialing within the Mennonite Brethren Church under either a provincial MB Conference or the national MB Conference, if not currently credentialed
  • Must be willing to commit to membership, or currently be committed in a local MB church, baptized and must live in agreement with the MB Confession of Faith
  • Completed a post-secondary education including some theological and/or missiological content

Related Work Experience:

  • Mission organization leadership
  • Managing large staff teams and projects
  • Experience with church planting and/or church leadership
  • Cross-cultural intelligence, mission and disciple making experience
  • Experience reporting to a board of directors
  • A minimum 5 years of experience leading a diverse, global network consisting of complex structures
  • Leadership at a senior level of an organization with a multi-million dollar budget
